More on our charity - South O Garden Program
The funding pays for one teacher (or two in our case)  provides the curriculum for a robust garden and cooking program for elementary schools. The goal is to teach regenerative gardening skills, knife and cooking skills, and make the connection between the body and mind and our environment and fresh food. We serve every single student in the the school (almost 500 students ages 4-10). The garden space is also used for students as a mental health space and is used daily by the school counselor and her students. The students absolutely love it and we see so much magic happening in the garden space. Picky eaters asking for seconds, student learning how to grow their own food and students having a hard day finding a peaceful environment among nature.

The cost to run annually is $20,000 and all of it needs to be raised by volunteers for the next school year. We are currently seeking ways to fund this program and keep it going for the students.
